Similar to actual bridges, blockchain or cryptocurrency bridges connect digital ecosystems together rather than physical locations. Between the blockchains that are connected by these bridges, information and assets can be passed. It is referred to as a cross-chain transfer. This show article will you how to bridge ETH to FTM.

What Is Ethereum Mainnet?

Decentralized blockchain platform Ethereum offers open access to services for data-friendly businesses and digital currency. Ether (ETH), also known as Ethereum, and the many distinct decentralized applications (dApps) that are widely used today are products of this community-built techno . Users of the Ethereum platform can build, publish, monetize, and use applications while using the platform's money, Ether (ETH), thanks to its tools and special programming language, Solidity. Ethereum functions as a decentralized public ledger for confirming and storing while enabling direct financial transfers and business partnerships.

What Is Fantom Blockchain?

A "high-performance, scalable, EVM-compatible, and secure smart-contract platform" is Fantom, a layer 1 blockchain. Fantom's consensus mechanism, Lachesis, enables the delivery of quick transaction times, cheap transaction fees, and predictable finality while being permissionless, decentralized, and open-source. Over 200 dApps have been built on the Fantom mainnet.

Developers can deploy applications created in Solidity, the Ethereum programming language, on Fantom with little modification, similar to other Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) compatible platforms. Fantom is growing its blockchain technology footprint in order to create a lock more interconnected blockchain and e

What Is Blockchain Bridge?

If you have USDT on Ethereum Mainnet but need to use it on Fantom, you can either deposit more USDT specifically for Fantom or you can find a Fantom bridge that will transfer your USDT from Ethereum Mainnet to Fantom, saving you money by preventing you from having to pay more to acquire more USDT just because it is on Fantom. We will talk about how to bridge ETH to FTM later in this article.

When an asset has liquidity pools on both the source and destination blockchains, there is a type of bridging known as liquidity-based bridging. Additionally, there is canonical-based bridging, in which a locked asset on the source chain is replaced with a fresh asset on the destination chain.

How To Bridge ETH To FTM

By following these easy steps, you can use Celer cBridge to quickly, easily, and securely bridge assets like USDT, USDC, and more from Ethereum Mainnet to Fantom and from Fantom to Ethereum Mainnet:

To start your cross-chain transfer, click the "Connect Wallet" button above and then connect your wallet.

Choose the asset type you want to bridge to Fantom, then choose "Ethereum Mainnet" in the "From" dropdown menu and "Fantom" in the "To" dropdown menu.

Please Note: To perform the cross-chain bridging of your chosen token from Ethereum to Fantom, you must change the network of your wallet to Ethereum Mainnet.

Enter in the "Send:" area the quantity of the chosen token that you wish to send from Ethereum to Fantom. The "Receive (estimated)" section will show the estimated value of the asset that is to be bridged to Fantom.

Examine all the data and cost projections related to the Fantom bridge transfer. Click the "Transfer" button and accept the transaction prompts to start the cross-chain transfer if all of the cross-chain bridging transaction information is accurate and acceptable.

Watch for the completion of your Fantom cross-chain bridge transaction. Your bridging tokens will then be delivered to you on Fantom.

Most cross-chain transfers are finished almost instantly, but depending on how much traffic the chain is experiencing, some transfers could take up to 20 minutes to finish.

You can click the links in the "Transfer History" tab to view additional information about the bridge transaction from Ethereum to Fantom. I guess now you know how to bridge ETH to FTM.
