One thing that should be noted is that once your transaction is added to the Ethereum blockchain, you cannot cancel it. Today we will show you how to cancel Etherscan transaction. Let’s find out by reading the article below.

What is a pending transaction?

Undocumented transactions are pending. To record your transactions, you must pay miners (computers on the network that maintain the blockchain) a service or transaction fee called gas. Miners work for profit; they only add the transactions that make them most profitable, those with high gas costs. I mean who doesn't want to make money. I guess my gas bill is too low for my deal to be considered. Don't take it to heart.

Etherscan is a great platform to monitor transactions on any Ethereum address. Other chains also have their own block explorers, for example Polygon Scan is Polygon's block explorer. It will tell you if the transaction has been recorded, when it was recorded, or if it is still pending.

How to cancel Etherscan transaction?

1. Proceed to Etherscan and enter your address in the search box. You will see a list of all transactions.

2. Select the transaction hash of the last successful transaction and note its nonce.

3. You need to find the right gas fee, your wallet will handle it for you. Eth-gas-station can also give you a decent royalty.

4. Open your wallet, select Ethereum, and then select Send.

5. If you intend to cancel the transaction, please enter your address and zero as your sending amount. But if you intend to resolve a pending transaction, please enter the original address and amount sent in the pending transaction.

6. Select Advanced, enter the nonce of the last confirmed transaction plus one, and enter the nonce space. The selected settings icon will take you to advanced options for trading on Trust Wallet. Add the nonce of the last confirmed transaction and enter it into the nonce space

7. Save and send your transaction. Your transaction will immediately appear as confirmed and pending transactions will be discarded.

I hope this tutorial will help you to learn how to cancel Etherscan Transaction and what is pending transactions. Since Ethereum transactions have to be processed in sequence, users can get completely stuck. In other words, the longest-running transaction must be processed before any recent transactions for that wallet have a chance to process.
