We will teach you how to convert USDT ERC20 to TRC20 network step by step. You may know that many frequently transfer the USDT stablecoin from the Ethereum network to Tron, to save on transaction fees for payments.

So if you want to convert your ERC-20 token to TRC-20, I believe this tutorial will help you.

The difference between ERC-20 and TRC-20

ERC-20 tokens indicate that the token is based on the Ethereum network, while TRC-20 indicates that the token is based on the Tron network. There are many differences between the two networks, but the main differences boil down to the congestion and high gas fees of the Ethereum network, while the opposite is true for the Tron network, mainly due to the difference in the number of users.

As a result, the Tron network is relatively fast and has low fees, sometimes even below $1 to $10, while Ethereum’s fees range from $3 to $150, and can be higher in extreme cases.

How To Convert USDT ERC20 To TRC20?

First, you need to prepare an encrypted wallet, such as Metamask. Then prepare a cryptocurrency exchange account that accepts TRC-20 tokens, ERC-20 tokens (such as BitKan.com, Binance), and some ERC-20 network tokens, such as USDT.

Note: Usually the Metamask wallet will only display ERC20 network tokens by default. If you need to use it to receive tokens from other networks such as TRC20, you need to configure the corresponding network in Metamask in advance.

1. Take BitKan as an example here. After registering an account on BitKan.com, enter the recharge interface - search for USDT - select ERC20, you will get an exclusive recharge wallet address for ERC20, and recharge your USDT from the ERC20 network to the platform. Then, you can see your USDT assets in your BitKan account after completing the deposit.

It should be noted that BitKan not only supports recharging from a decentralized wallet such as Metamask but also supports recharging from other trading platforms. For example, when you withdraw cryptocurrencies on Binance or other platforms that BitKan also supports recharge and trading, when you fill in the recharge address of the corresponding cryptocurrency in your BitKan account, as long as other platforms and networks confirm successfully, BitKan will also arrive for your account. When operating, be sure to confirm that your wallet address is correct.

2. Since your purpose is to convert your USDT ERC-20 to TRC-20, at this point you can enter the personal center - select withdrawal - search USDT - select TRC20 - enter your wallet address for receiving TRC20 - enter the amount and Confirm to complete the withdrawal. After waiting for the network confirmation, you will receive the USDT of the TRC20 network in your wallet.

Closing Thoughts

With every transaction on the blockchain, it is always good practice to scrutinize every relevant detail. Especially when sending large amounts of funds, make sure to send a small test transaction first to make sure you are sending it to the correct address. All transactions are irreversible, if you send them to the wrong address, your coins are lost forever.

Having said that, we hope this article on how to convert USDT ERC20 to TRC20 was helpful to you, and if so, please share it with more people who may need help!
