Over 20 years have passed since the invention of PayPal, an electronic payment system. PayPal makes it simple to transfer and receive money online. However, in order to utilize the service, you must be aware of how to transfer money from card to PayPal.

An online payment service is PayPal. It enables you to pay a little fee and transfer funds from your PayPal balance to another person's PayPal account. You may quickly and conveniently use your PayPal account to pay for goods and services thanks to the service's integration with numerous e-commerce websites.

How To Transfer Money From Card To PayPal

You need a PayPal Balance account in order to deposit and hold funds in your PayPal account. You can still make payments without a Balance account, but you'll need a linked payment method. Your linked bank account or credit card is used to deduct the payment amount when you make it. Without having a Balance account, you can still receive money. These are the best ways that show how to transfer money from card to PayPal:

Money Transfer to PayPal from a Bank Account

You can make an electronic cash transfer from your bank account to your PayPal Balance account to add money to it. To achieve this, adhere to the directions listed below:

- Log into your PayPal account;

- Click Wallet at the top of the screen;

- Click Add Money to Your Balance;

- Choose your bank; enter the amount you wish to transfer; and then click Add.

It takes 3 to 5 business days for a bank transfer to appear in your PayPal Balance.

Deposit Funds using a Debit Card into PayPal

Debit cards cannot be used to deposit funds into your PayPal Balance account. To make sure that your linked debit card is used every time you make a payment, you can link a card to your PayPal account.

The steps listed below can be used to connect a debit card to your PayPal account:

- Log into your PayPal account and select the Wallet option from the menu at the top of the page.

- From there, select the Link a Debit or Credit Card option on the left side of the screen.

Please be aware that in order to link your card securely, your bank may ask you to take additional actions.

How To Link PayPal To Debit Card

You can send money and complete transactions without having any funds in your PayPal Balance by linking a debit card. Instead, the connected card is used to withdraw the funds directly.

- Open the PayPal app and tap the Wallet icon.

- Next to Banks and Cards, tap the Add button.

-Tap Cards, Debit and Credit

- Select the card linking option.

Please be aware that in order to link your card, your bank may require you to take additional security measures. You will be required to enter a code received using a Two Factor Authentication (2FA) mechanism to verify that you are the one making the transaction . Typically, a message is sent to your phone.

Final Thoughts

You can choose from a variety of methods to find out how to transfer money from card to PayPal. A check can be cashed or money added at a store using the PayPal smartphone app, a friend or family member, or straight from a bank account. Additionally, you can link a credit or debit card that is used each time you send money or make a payment.
