Shiba Inu Coin (SHIB) continues to expand its Shiba ecosystem with the Shiboshi NFT collection, but when is the release date?
Interest in SHIB remains high following its October price surge, while NFT sales totalled $10.7bn in Q3, according to DappRadar.
Here’s a look at when you’ll be able to buy a Shiboshi NFT.
Shiboshi NFT Release Date
The Shiboshi NFTs released on October 14 at 5:30 PM EST/10:30 PM BST, as confirmed by Shytoshi Kusama, the Shiba Project Lead.
The NFTs sold out in just over 35 minutes, they also said.
In a blog post from October 5, Shytoshi Kusama, the Shiba Inu Project Lead, previously said:
The excitement behind this NFT drop has eclipsed anything we could have imagined, and we are so excited to bring them to you next week (or earlier).
This means the Shiboshi NFTs were expected to launch at some point between October 11 and October 17.
Shytoshi also said:
It will be a fair launch so don’t worry we will make sure everyone gets a heads up.

How To Buy Shiboshi NFT
Shiboshis were available to buy exclusively on ShibaSwap – Shiba Inu’s decentralised exchange (DEX). For the first 24 hours after they go live, users will need to use LEASH to buy Shiboshis. After that, ETH will become a viable payment method. Of course, given the NFTs sold out in less than an hour, LEASH was the main form of payment
The price of Shiboshi NFTs depends on its tier. The prices are as follows (Prices accurate as of 09:15 BST on October 12 via CoinGecko):
1-3000: 0.1 ETH/0.1525 LEASH/$350
3001-8000: 0.2 ETH/0.3051 LEASH/$700
8001-10000: 0.3 ETH/0.4576 LEASH/$1050
If hodlers want to personalise their Shiboshi with its own name, they will also need to burn $100 worth of SHIB (around 3171582 SHIB at the time of writing). This will add a total of $1,000,000 to the SHIB burn.
