What does a wallet reset mean?

How do I reset my wallet? (Extension)
- You must first uninstall MetaMask from your device.
- You must do this via the extension settings in your browser rather than the app itself. For instance, you may just right-click the extension icon in the top right corner of Chrome and select "Remove from Chrome.".
- And then reinstall MetaMask.
- You will get a welcome message when you reinstall the MetaMask Extension. Click the link.
- You'll now have the choice of importing an existing wallet or making a new one. In this instance, we merely want to import because we're resetting.
- Enter your desired password and your secret recovery phrase in lowercase only. You should now be able to access your wallet in Extension as usual if you input your Secret Recovery Phrase accurately at the beginning of the process.
How to reset my wallet? (Mobile)
- By hitting the hamburger menu symbol in the top left and choosing the lock option at the bottom, you can lock your account.
- Then select "Reset wallet" from the lock screen.
- You will see a warning message telling you not to move forward unless you have your Secret Recovery Phrase. To confirm your action, tap through and then input "delete" in the field on the following screen.
- Then select "Import using Secret Recovery Phrase."
- Enter your secret recovery phrase, being sure to separate the words with spaces in lower case. Additionally, you must select a password.
- You're done when you successfully enter your Secret Recovery Phrase.
