In this article, you will learn when is zkSync airdrop. ZkSync is one of the most highly anticipated Layer 2 networks on Ethereum that uses zero-knowledge proofs to scale transaction throughput. The platform is yet to release an official token, however, they have leaked information in their docs that they will airdrop tokens to users who start using the ZkSync Testnet.

When is zkSync Airdrop?

zkSync is a scaling solution for Ethereum, a blockchain platform for smart contracts. It utilizes a technique called "Zero Knowledge Proofs" (ZKPs) to enable the execution of private and scalable transactions on the Ethereum blockchain.

There is no zkSync token yet. But the ticker will potentially be $ZKS. On 16th February 2023. zkSync launched its Fair Onboarding Alpha, and on 24th March 2023. zkSync Era Mainnet Alpha became open to the public. Meanwhile, 1.zk renamed zkSync Lite. There is no zkSync ($ZKS) token airdrop yet. But zkSync Era Mainnet Alpha is now open to the public.

How to be Eligible for the ZkSync Airdrop?

The strategies and steps below will put you in the best position to be eligible for the forthcoming ZkSync airdrop.‍

-Bridge Funds to zkSync

The first recommendation is to bridge funds to the zkSync testnet with a native application like Orbiter Finance. This platform will allow you to move Ethereum (ETH), USDC and USDT from mainnet to zkSync for low fees.

We also recommend you use the native zkSync bridge if you want to get as many tokens as possible in the airdrop.

-Trade on the ZigZag DEX

The next step is to make a trade on the ZigZag DEX, which is the first decentralized exchange that was deployed on zkSync. The platform is a non-custodial order book exchange and operates in a similar way to a centralized exchange like Binance and FTX. Trades are very cheap so this should only cost you $1 or $2.

- Make a Gitcoin Donation on zkSync

Gitcoin is an application that enables you to make donations to open-source projects using digital assets. Their app allows investors to complete their donation with the zkSync network for cheaper transaction fees. the Optimism airdrop.

- Claim zkSync Faucet Tokens

Visit the zkSync2.0 Portal and claim testnet tokens from their faucet. This network is an EVM compatible rollup that uses zkSync's zero-knowledge technology. The faucet allows you to request up to 0.1 ETH worth of ZKS tokens for free every 24 hours.

Another step to complete is making a swap on SyncSwap once you claim your faucet tokens. This will likely result in a boosted airdrop reward for completing an extra action.

- Mint an NFT on MintSquare

The last step we recommend to claim as many zkSync airdrop tokens as possible is to visit MintSquare and mint a new NFT. To do this, you can upload any image and mint it as an NFT for less than a $1 fee.

Bottom Line

This airdrop is not yet confirmed and there is always a risk that it might not happen. As always, please do your own research (DYOR) before participating in any airdrops or sending funds to any wallets. This article is about when is zkSync airdrop.
