Federal financial regulators moved to coordinate oversight on March 11 as the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The memorandum outlines plans to align regulatory definitions, coordinate oversight, and facilitate secure data sharing between the agencies.
