Super League CEO Matthew Edelman said the company had spent the past year eliminating debt, cutting costs and simplifying its capital structure.
“We believe bitcoin is the strongest monetary asset available for a corporate balance sheet in today’s fiscal environment,” he said.
The deal gives Metaplanet something increasingly sought by corporate bitcoin holders: access to another major capital market without separating the underlying treasury strategy.
