Following May's market crash, NBA Top Shots experienced a sharp decline in sales, with a volume of about $7.67 million in June.
This number was low when compared to the sales of Moonbirds, Otherdeed, Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), CryptoPunks, and Bored Ape Yacht Club (MAYC) during the same time.
June sales were down 44.95% from May's volume. Sales in May were somewhere about $13.93 million.
Why have sales fallen?
With 25,128 unique buyers and 379,393 transactions, the decline in sales volume for digital collectibles was reflected in the drop in the number of unique buyers from June.
When compared to January, when sales hit a monthly high, there were 64,494 unique buyers, which corresponded to 1,828,283 transactions. Sales in January were about $59.02 million.
NBA Top Shot saw a $51.35 million drop in sales from January as it saw monthly sales for the first time under $10 million since December 2020 ($869,161).
The average sale price in June was about $20.21, which was a 37% decrease from the $32.28 in January.
FLOW price reaction
FLOW opened on June 1 at $2.71, reached a monthly high of $2.72, tested the low of $1.17, and closed the month at $1.50. Overall, the opening and closing prices of FLOW in June decreased by 44% as a result.
