Ronaldo's venture into the world of NFTs comes as he partnered with cryptocurrency exchange Binance to introduce his second NFT collection. This collection, unveiled in July, commemorates Ronaldo's status as the sport's all-time leading scorer.
The video showcases Ronaldo taking a polygraph test while addressing various football-themed yes-or-no queries. Questions such as "Will Portugal win the World Cup?" and "Will you continue to play at the highest level into your 40s?" are among the inquiries Ronaldo faced. Ronaldo confirmed that he owned the NFT, and the lie detector affirmed his truthfulness. When queried about whether he had intentions to release more NFTs in the future, his response remained consistent.
Ronaldo initiated his initial NFT series in 2022 following a multi-year collaboration with the Binance exchange. This partnership's objective is to introduce Web3 technology to fans worldwide through diverse NFT campaigns. Ronaldo's NFT offerings enable fans to english age exclusively with the football superstar.
In contrast, Brazilian soccer legend Ronaldinho Gaúcho recently became embroidered in a cryptocurrency fraud investigation in Brazil. Local media reported on August 27 that the athlete had failed to appear before Congress for an inquiry into an alleged pyramid scheme associated with one of his companies. Finally , on August 31, the football club came under investigation by the committee. They denied any involvement in a scheme promising daily 2% cryptocurrency returns, and a lawsuit seeking $61 million in damages has been filed against the company. Ronaldinho asserted that the company used his image without authorization and that he, too, was a victim of the scheme.
