Alephium is an operational sharded L1 blockchain that extends and enhances PoW and UTXO concepts. Alephium is built on a novel and complete sharding algorithm called BlockFlow. It improves BTC’s UTXO model to make it scalable and uses the DAG data structure to achieve consensus among different shards. This will allow up to 10,000 transactions per second.
