1. Introduction
District0x network is a collection of decentralized markets and communities based on Ethereum, Aragon and IPFS technologies. These markets and communities are called Districts. Such districts are DAOs in the district0x network. These regions will all be built on the open-source framework d0xINFRA, which takes shape after the Ethlance technology stack, including Ethereum contracts and front-end codebases.
2. Project introduction
district0x's goal is to facilitate the operation and management of markets and communities as a decentralized entity. district0x aims to enable entertainment for many of the internet's most popular apps and services, while eliminating rent-seeking and giving up decision-making and personal data to third parties.
district0x community is based on the DAO decentralized autonomous organization, and its token DNT can be used to purchase applications in any of these communities, which is equivalent to becoming a shareholder of the community application and can participate through ARAGON Community decision-making to gain benefits. On the other hand, as the number of users in the district0x community increases, DNT will also increase in value. This project is different from general Ethereum-based DAPP applications, but an open source community with good appreciation potential.
Application scenarios
Standards for market creation and operation
District0x network is a collection of markets and communities, we call these markets and communities District ). Such districts are DAOs in the district0x network. These regions will all be built on the open-source framework d0xINFRA, which takes shape after the Ethlance technology stack, including Ethereum contracts and front-end codebases.
All regions are required to have the following capabilities to operate an online marketplace, accessible through a list and gallery-style user interface:
Publishing and Display
·Search and filter
·Rating and reputation
·Payment and billing
A d0xINFRA contract shared by all regions in this network and a set of region-specific contracts Jointly control the backend of each region. d0xINFRA is designed to be open and extensible, enabling unique functionality and enhancements to regions through plug-ins of additional modules.
d0xINFRA Framework
As a model for the design of this framework, Ethlance represents the original region and can be used as an improvement sandbox for d0xINFRA. Soon Ethlance was added by two new districts, the second and third applications being deployed on district0x were in development, they were ENS Bazaar and Meme Factory respectively.
ENS Bazaar is a peer-to-peer marketplace where names registered with the Ethereum naming service can be traded and easily discoverable names registered with ENS can be purchased. Inspired by Simon de la Rouviere's Curation market model, Meme Factory provides an interface for the creation of provably rare digital assets on Ethereum, which can be posted directly for trading in a bulletin board-style marketplace.
Managed by the community
Aragon is a revolutionary platform for deploying unstoppable companies and entities, the operating system for decentralized autonomous organizations. Aragon improves the fundamental management of an organization, such as the distribution of voting shares, voting, role assignment, accounting, financing, and more. In a nutshell, Aragon provides the tools to facilitate teamwork through economic incentives to enable the district0x network. In order to allow everyone to freely join and participate in a community management activity, in order to make the motivation of participants in a region consistent, and in order to allow the district0x network to deploy a coordinated decision-making mechanism, we introduced the district0x network token.
District0x Network Token (DNT) is a staking token that allows holders to join a district and participate in their governance. Based on equity tokens, participants can obtain matching voting rights in a region. Voting rights can be used to decide everything, such as: a region's brand, its management guidelines, integrated add-ons, how profitable add-ons are billed, and more.
Technical Overview
d0xINFRA Architecture: The core part of each region is the d0xINFRA architecture, which is built on a standard open-source architecture consisting of Ethereum smart contracts and front-end libraries. Regions provide the most basic functionality. The d0xINFRA architecture is designed to be open and extensible, and regions can be customized and additional functionality added through the use of auxiliary modules.
Ethlance: Launched in January 2017, it is a decentralized job marketplace for freelancers and their full-time workers. It is district0x's first and will continue to operate.
ENS Mart: ENS Mart is now in development and is a peer-to-peer marketplace for trading domain names registered through the Ethereum Name Service, providing an easy-to-discover ENS registry where people can buy ENS domain name.
Meme Factory: The third area to be deployed on the district0x network is the Meme Factory, which will provide an interface for creating rare digital assets on the Ethereum blockchain. These digital assets can be immediately posted and traded on a bulletin board style marketplace.
Future DISTRICT0X project areas: The district0x project team would like to continue to introduce more new areas to the district0x network. At the same time, it is used as a sand table to improve the d0xINFRA architecture and demonstrate the functions of a decentralized market and community.
Create your own district: After deploying the district creation platform, all netizens will be able to quickly create their own district on the district0x network. Powered by a decentralized interface, district0x provides a creation platform that bypasses censorship and intermediaries.
3. Comments
district0x network community is a decentralized open source autonomous community, developed based on technologies such as Ethereum, Aragon, and IPFS. Its core framework is d0xINFRA, which is an Ethereum-based smart contract and distributes storage through IPFS, supporting all community members to deploy their own network applications.
