IOST is a blockchain application platform developed for online service providers supported by the world's first-tier US dollar investment institutions such as Sequoia and ZhenFu. After the mainnet launch, IOST has officially become the top 4 DApp public chain platform in the world besides Ethereum, EOS and Tron.
The IOST project is developed by the IOS Foundation (The Internet of Services Foundation), a non-profit organization based in Singapore. The IOST project team is currently mainly composed of R&D personnel focusing on blockchain distributed technology. Most of the members graduated from the world's top universities such as Princeton, Stanford, MIT, Tsinghua, and Peking University, and have more than three years of blockchain-related research experience. The IOST project currently has offices in Silicon Valley, New York, Singapore, Seoul, Tokyo and Berlin.
IOST is a blockchain platform for distributed applications. Centralized platforms have dominated for so long that people have forgotten that there is a better way to build internet services. IOST is an efficient way to develop a community-owned network that provides a platform for third-party developers, creators, and businesses to realize value. IOST's solution is actually to resolve the scalability triangle, rather than shy away from solving the problem by sacrificing censorship resistance. While trying various scalability solutions, the IOST blockchain has always maintained its censorship resistance, open participation and protection from malicious attacks. IOST is more decentralized than EOS and more scalable than ETH.
