How to Check Block Confirmation Progress
Updated on:
What are "Block Confirmation" and "Number of Block Confirmations"?
Block confirmation refers to the process where miners include your deposit or withdrawal transaction data into a block (data block). Each time a block confirmation is completed, it counts as one block confirmation. Different cryptocurrencies require different numbers of block confirmations under various networks.
For example: When we withdraw digital assets to the blockchain, the assets will eventually be included in a block by miners. Before being included, the confirmation count for these assets is 0, meaning zero confirmations. Once the transaction is included in the latest block and verified by miners, the confirmation count increases by 1. With each new block generated, the confirmation count increases by 1 until it reaches the required number of confirmations for the deposit to be credited. The more confirmations there are, the harder it is to tamper with the blockchain data, making the transaction more secure.
How to Check the Number of Block Confirmations?
To find out the number of block confirmations required for a specific cryptocurrency to be credited, you can go to the [Assets] section in the app and click [Deposit].
Select the cryptocurrency you wish to deposit, and at the bottom of the deposit page, you can see the number of network confirmations required for the deposit to be credited. The assets will only be credited once the actual number of block confirmations meets the required network confirmations for that cryptocurrency.
You can also check the deposit/withdrawal progress in the deposit/withdrawal records. The steps are as follows:
Open the deposit/withdrawal page, click the record icon in the upper right corner, select the relevant record, and click to view the deposit/withdrawal progress.
Friendly reminder:
You can also copy the "HASH" and check more details on a blockchain explorer.
If your deposit/withdrawal transaction has reached the required number of confirmations but has not been credited, you can contact the other platform and provide the HASH or other necessary information to complete the deposit/withdrawal successfully.
