If you are wondering how to add Fantom to MetaMask, this article will help you find the solution. If you are familiar with dApps and some cryptocurrencies you might have heard of Fantom Crypto. Fantom (FTM) is the latest smart contract blockchain protocol designed to Ethereum challenge with speed and low cost.

What is Fantom?

Fantom is a layer 1 distributed ledger that seamlessly deploys smart contracts on its network. The platform uses an advanced DAG - Directed Acyclic Graph, which involves the seamless interaction of computer nodes in the network to ensure fast and secure transactions. The (DAG) smart contract platform aims to solve the problems of the last wave of blockchain platforms.

Ethereum was the first cryptocurrency to power smart contracts, but the Fantom token is a close second in terms of scalability. This guide explains how Fantom and the FTM coin work, why Fantom is poised to compete with Ethereum in the DeFi space, and how Fantom can help drive the digital infrastructure of future smart cities.

How to add Fantom to MetaMask?

Here is the step-by-step guide to adding Fantom to Metamask:

- Open your MetaMask wallet by clicking on the MetaMask logo in the upper right corner of your browser.

- After opening your MetaMask wallet, click on the account logo in the upper right corner. In the drop-down menu, click Settings.

- In the settings menu, click Network. In this menu, you will see a list of networks to which your MetaMask wallet is connected to. Click the "Add Network" button at the bottom.

- Enter the details of the network. The following information must be entered:

Network Name: Fantom Opera

New RPC Url: https://rpc.ftm.tools

Chain ID: 250

Symbol: FTM

Block Explorer URL: https://ftmscan.com/

- Before deploying your assets to a DApp on Fantom, all you need to do is connect your MetaMask wallet to the Fantom network. You can do this by clicking on the current network at the top of the MetaMask wallet and then clicking on Fantom Opera.

So I hope this tutorial will help you to learn how to add Fantom to MetaMask. You can also add another network by following this tutorial. Fantom's native token, FTM, is required to pay transaction fees when connecting to Fantom Opera. However, the constituent blockchains in a "network of networks" can create and need to use their own native tokens.
