Candidate blocks are blocks that mining nodes (miners) try to mine in order to get the block reward. So how do miners create blocks and how long does it take to mine 1 block. Let’s find out by reading the article below.

How do miners create blocks?

To create a new block, miners must go through a process of solving a mathematical problem. When an efficient solution is found for the network, it can be taken for granted that a new block will be added to the blockchain by consensus. For this, miners who find a solution are rewarded with new blocks. This reward is called a block reward.

How long does it take to mine 1 block?

A new block is generated in Bitcoin approximately every 10 minutes. So every time you find one, you start digging for another.

What happens when all bitcoins are mined?

The answer to this question is much debated because no one knows for sure. But experts insist that once new bitcoins are discovered, no new ones will be created. Some have speculated that this scarcity could drive up the value of Bitcoin. We'll see in 2024.

I hope this article will help you to learn how do miners create blocks and how long does it take to mine 1 block. As of November 16, 2022, there are roughly 1,791,543.8 bitcoins unmined, with 900 added every day.
