The U.K. metaverse business Hadean has received funding from Epic Games.
Fortnite, a video game that some already regard as a metaverse, was made by the company. Will the Metaverse and virtual reality (VR) versions of Fortnite soon be available?
Joining fellow investors 2050 Capital, Alumni Ventures, Aster Capital, Entrepreneur First, and InQTel is the business behind Fortnite. The funding round, which collected $30 million in total, was spearheaded by European tech-focused VC company Molten Ventures.
Heads of the Hadean metaverse
In order to support the operation of the metaverse and, perhaps more crucially, to generate revenue from it, Hadean was established in 2015. Hadean claims that "distributed, spatial, and scalable computing" enables this monetization.
Another encouraging sign for the developing Metaverse market is the recent investment in Hadean. Alethea AI, which received $16 million in August, and Ready Player Me, which raised $56 million in the same month, are two further Metaverse ventures that recently ran successful crowdfunding campaigns.
