What Is SushiSwap?

SushiSwap, a copy of Uniswap, offered a platform for token exchanges without the use of a mediator or intermediary. The founders of SushiSwap incorporated novel features into the platform, such as governance via the SUSHI token and liquidity mining.

The SushiSwap ecosystem's native token, SUSHI, allows users the ability to vote on the platform's direction as well as cut trading commissions and stake incentives. SushiSwap can be used without owning SUSHI, although the token does provide some extra functionality, staking as that is not available without it.
