If you've been in the cryptocurrency industry for any length of time, you'll quickly come across acronyms and terminology that will give you headaches. There is something about hearing and understanding these slangs that makes you feel part of the cryptocurrency community. In this article, we'll let you know what does GM mean on Twitter and what other crypto terms mean.

What does GM mean on Twitter?

GM simply means "good morning". The crypto community calls each other GMs because everyone is part of the global community. The Twitter community typically starts its day with a GM tweet and followers greet with their GM reply.

Other Crypto Terms

1. Airdrop

Airdrop is a term primarily used by Apple users to describe the wireless transfer of files over her WiFi or Bluetooth. In the world of cryptocurrencies and NFTS, "airdrop" refers to the free transfer of cryptocurrencies, tokens or NFTS to another wallet address (user account).

2. BTD or BTFD

BTD stands for "Buy the Dips" and BTFD stands for "Buy the F*cking Dips". It means buying NFTs after the price drops. This is often seen as a bargain as the asset is likely to recover or appreciate in value over time .

3. Burn

When someone burned an NFT, they essentially eliminate it. The NFT is obsolete by being sent to a black hole address (a wallet owned by no one), effectively destroying the token.

4. Copy Cats

Copy Cats in the NFT section refers to imitation projects that copy another, more popular project, and are not even known in the art world. There appears to be no workaround at this time other than removing the fakes from the NFT marketplace.

5. Flipping

Flipping is commonly used in the context of buying and selling real estate and refers to buying goods at a low price and selling them quickly for profit. In the NFT space, flipping means the same thing as people buying and selling NFTs to make a quick profit , especially in the early stages of a project that is in high demand.

6. Floor price

Floor Price means the lowest entry price stated in the NFT Project.

7. Floor sweeping

When someone in the NFT space uses the phrase "sweep the floor," the community encourages the members to buy NFT for the lowest price, hoping to add value to the project.

8. GMI/NGMI/Wagmi

GMI stands for "Gonna Make It," WAGMI stands for "We're All Gonna Make It," and NGMI stands for "Not Gonna Make It." It is intended to describe the future state in which the investment will succeed (or fail ) and yield a large return.

9. Mint

NFT minting is the process of issuing and making non-fungible tokens (NFTs) available for purchase on the blockchain.

10. Rugpull

Far from being a scam, "ragpull" refers to a scenario in which the team behind what appears to be the real deal with his NFT project gives up and takes the investor's money away.

I hope this article will help you to gain knowledge about the meanings of crypto terms, including "what does GM mean on Twitter?".
