A crypto credit card lets you spend your fiat money and rewards you in cryptocurrency. This article will discuss, "What is a Crypto Credit Card? Advantages of Crypto Credit Cards." Let's get started.

What is a Crypto Credit Card?

Similar to traditional credit cards, cryptocurrency credit cards work by allowing you to borrow a line of credit in fiat currency with regular monthly payments.

The difference has to do with your rewards: much like many credit cards, cryptocurrency credit cards let you earn points for transactions. Yet those rewards are given to you in cryptocurrency rather than cash back or travel miles. This will be put in a wallet that has been created for the card.

So, let's say you use your crypto credit card to make a few large purchases. You would use the credit line you were given to pay for those, but you would also receive a reward in the form of cryptocurrency.

Advantages of Crypto Credit Cards

There are a couple of advantages to using this type of card.

Easy On-ramping

First, crypto credit cards provide an easy and seamless way to on-ramp: simply make your regular purchases on a seemingly normal card, and you'll automatically receive your first coins and tokens to a linked wallet.

So for those interested in starting a crypto portfolio – without the blood, sweat and tears of figuring out the buying process – using a crypto credit card could be a great option.

Passive Crypto

Crypto credit cards are also a pretty good deal if you like the sound of passive crypto income.

The majority of us already use, and being some form of credit, so being able to passively build your crypto from your regular spending habits is a real bonus.

Limitations of Crypto Credit Cards

As with any type of credit, the drawback of using this options is that you'll be subject to interest and late payment fees if your balance isn't resolved at the end of the agreed period, So this is something you'll need to consider when choosing your card.
