If you are familiar with crypto industry, you might hear of Polygon network(MATIC). But what is Polygon and how to setup Polygon MetaMask. If you want to know the details, this article will help you to understand.

What is Polygon(MATIC)?

Polygon, formerly known as Matic Network, is a scaling solution designed to provide multiple tools to increase speed and reduce the cost and complexity of transactions on blockchain networks.

How to set up Polygon MetaMask?

Polygon positions itself as "Ethereum's Internet of Blockchains". In a nutshell, Polygon is a set of tools and features that improve the scalability of Ethereum and connect EVM-compatible networks.

Polygon is an EVM-compliant network, which means you can use your MetaMask wallet to access dapps on Polygon. You will have the same address and just need to make sure you add Polygon as a network in MetaMask and switch between Ethereum and Polygon appropriately.

Here is the step-by-step process of setting up Polygon MetaMask:

- Adding polygon support to your wallet involves adding some network details to the extension. First, open MetaMask and click the Network drop-down menu.

- Now, click [Add Network] in the popup window.

- You need to add the following details on the [Add Network] page that opens. Click [Save] when finished.

- You will now be successfully connected to the Polygon network.

Summary

Now you know what is Polygon and how to set up Polygon MetaMask. Set up Polygon in MetaMask and you are free to start trading, collect NFTs that interact with DeFi DApps, and manage your cryptocurrencies.
