In this article, you will learn what is the daily Bitcoin market cap. The cryptocurrency industry is developing very fast, it is needed to measure the cryptocurrency domination and the size of the crypto market. Now it is measured by the crypto market capitalization.

What is Crypto Market Capitalization?

Market capitalization is what represents the total value of a company. This is done by multiplying the company share price and the number of shares available. In the crypto space, market cap is a metric that measures the relative size and value of a cryptocurrency, similar to the role it plays in traditional markets.

Market caps are not so complicated to figure out because there's a simple formula used to calculate a cryptocurrency's market cap. By knowing this formula, you'll easily understand the relationship that exists between coin price and market capitalization and see in just how matter

What is the Daily Bitcoin Market Cap?

In April 2021. the Bitcoin market cap reached an all-time high and had grown by over 1.000 billion USD when compared to the summer months. The market capitalization declined since that moment, reaching roughly 600 billion US dollars in June 2021. Market is capitalization calculated by multiplying the total number of Bitcoins in circulation by the Bitcoin price. The Bitcoin market capitalization increased from approximately one billion US dollars in 2013 to several times this amount since its surge in popularity in 2017.

-Bitcoin's Use among Consumers

While its market capitalization grew at an unbelievable rate from 2013 to 2017. the public is only slowly becoming aware of its existence. As many as 25 percent of Americans were still not familiar with Bitcoin and as of 2019. While there Bition are over 18 million in circulation, there are only 6.674 Bitcoin ATMs around the world. So its physical presence is minimal, and the majority of ATMs are located in the United States.

-Bitcoin prices

What makes Bitcoin different from traditional currency is that it is decentralized and no single institution or bank controls the Bitcoin network. It is also unique because an account is easy to set up and it is completely transparent. The Bitcoin price index (the average Bitcoin price across leading global exchanges) has also increased significantly since its creation, rising from 367 US dollars in January 2016 to a peak of over 13.000 US dollars at the end of December 2017.

What is the Market Capitalization Formula?

Formula: Market Cap = Current Coin Price x Circulating Supply

Supply can be divided into two categories: total supply and circulating supply. Total supply is the number of coins in existence right now in the market.

Circulating supply is the most commonly used metric when it comes to calculating crypto market capitalization. In simple terms, circulating supply is the number of coins currently circulating in the market available to the general public.

For example, each unit of Chain-link cryptocurrency is being traded at $31 (figures are rounded down), and the circulating supply is equal to 417.000.000 coins. Therefore, the market capitalization for this cryptocurrency would be $12.9B.

Coins with a smaller circulating supply but with higher prices will not have a larger market capitalization than their larger circulating supply counterparts. Once again, coin prices matter to only some extent when judging just how dominant and progressive a coin is in the crypto market.

Bottom Line

To analyze the market, investors are finding ways. Market caps give investors a source of objectivity away from social media and constant emotion-induced speculation. So, if you want to invest in Bitcoin, you will need to know what is the daily Bitcoin market cap.
