AlphaSense, a prominent B2B artificial intelligence (AI) platform specializing in business intelligence and search, has successfully concluded a Series E funding round, securing a substantial $150 million. Leading the investment was Bond, with notable participation from CapitalG, the investment arm of Alphabet, Google's parent company, along with significant contributions from Goldman Sachs and Virgin Global.
This recent funding round has significantly boosted AlphaSense's valuation to a substantial $2.5 billion, compared to $1.7 billion following a $225 million Series D round in June 2023. AlphaSense's impressive market position and sustained growth are closely linked to the recent surge in artificial intelligence technologies. While several AI models, such as OpenAI's ChatGPT and Anthropic's Claude, are tailored for general audiences, AlphaSense's approach integrates strategic data from both public and private analytics sources into a machine learning pipeline.
This unique combination empowers AlphaSense's Insights-as-a-Service platform to furnish profound insights into business and financial analytics, offering actionable intelligence. In the realm of cryptocurrency and blockchain, platforms like AlphaSense hold promise for transcending the often questionable insights generated by more generalized AI models like ChatGPT. The latter is susceptible to generating erroneous information, while AlphaSense's models meticulously parse specific datasets relevant to business intelligence, generating insights presented in comprehensible articles enriched with text and images.
In a statement, AlphaSense's CEO and founder, Jack Kokko, highlighted that this fresh infusion of capital will enable the company to remain at the forefront of the B2B generative AI revolution. He emphasized AlphaSense's mission to assist enterprises in locating the precise data and insights necessary for informed, agile decision-making, asserting that the company is pioneering the future of market intelligence and revolutionizing enterprise search capabilities.
