Analog, a Web3 platform, has successfully raised $16 million in funding aimed at enhancing its tools for cross-chain communication among developers. This funding round has propelled the startup's fully diluted valuation to $120 million.
Several cryptocurrency projects and Web3 funds, including Near, Wintermute, Orange DAO, Benqi Finance, and Quantstamp, have contributed to this round. Additionally, venture capital firms such as Tribe Capital, Alumni Ventures, and NGC Ventures, along with Samara Asset Group, the family office of former Coinbase executives Balaji Srinivasan and Mike Novogratz, have participated in the financing.
Founded in 2021 by Victor Young and Sanchal Ranjan, Analog emerged from the founders' realization of the necessity for comprehensive cross-chain interoperability while researching algorithmic trading bots. The team's prior involvement in projects within the Polkadot ecosystem, including Moonbeam and Enjin, as well as engagements in the cross-chain realm like Cosmos and Chainlink, laid the foundation for Analog's inception.
Analog's primary focus lies in developing a product tailored for developers, enabling them to extract data from smart contracts across diverse blockchain networks. For instance, Young elucidated how a cross-chain DEX aggregator necessitates data retrieval from various DEXs on different chains to furnish users with optimal routes and precise price discovery mechanisms.
The startup has also introduced a software development kit facilitating general messaging, thereby supporting communication and interoperability for asset transfers across blockchains, decentralized exchanges, and non-fungible tokens. With the emergence of multiple Layers 1 and 2 solutions in the Web3 landscape, Analog underscores the escalating demand for composability within these systems.
In a rapidly evolving multi-chain Web3 environment, Analog seeks to differentiate itself by consolidating cross-chain development capabilities into a unified toolkit, rather than relying on external entities like oracles. Young emphasized the team's dedication to catering to developers and showcasing the extensive utility of their products across diverse verticals.
