ARK Invest, the investment firm led by Cathie Wood, reached a new 52-week high as its holdings in Coinbase also hit a fresh high. Wood's company has been selling some of its Coinbase shares recently, following its significant acquisitions during the be ar market. At the same time, ARK Invest has been actively investing in stocks of Meta Platforms and Robinhood Markets.
On July 14, ARK Invest sold a total of 478,356 Coinbase shares valued at $53 million, coinciding with the stock reaching its yearly high of $114.43. The flagship fund, ARK Innovation ETF, sold 263,247 Coinbase shares, while the ARK Next Generation Internet ETF sold 93,227 shares, and the ARK Fintech Innovation ETF sold 35,666 shares. In June, Wood's firm initiated purchases of Meta Platforms and Robinhood stocks. The ARK Innovation ETF bought shares of Meta, and the ARK Fintech Innovation ETF acquired shares of Robinhood. Additionally, the ARK Next Generation Internet ETF added shares of both Meta and Robinhood to its portfolio.
Coinbase Shares Closed at $ 105.31 on FRIDAY, Experiencing A 1.58 Percent Decline as Investors Took Profits. However, The Stock Had Surged During the Week , ReachING A 24-Hour High of $ 114.43. Overall, Coinbase Has Seen A Year-TO- date gain of 213%. Apart from the general gains in cryptocurrency-related stocks, Coinbase also received a boost following the summary judgment in the SEC v. Ripple lawsuit.
This marks the second time this week that ARK Invest has sold Coinbase shares, with previous sales occurring on July 11 and in March. Wood's firm continues to navigate the market, making strategic moves to optimize its portfolio and capitalize on various investments opportunities.
