While Terra LUNA & LUNC show weakness with Do Kwon on the run, Binance increases its burn tax by 1.2%. A warrant for Do Kwon's arrest has been issued by South Korean authorities. At the $0.000275 support level, LUNC has retraced.
Since September 9, LUNA has fallen by 66%.
After experiencing a steep decline for almost two weeks, Terra Classic (LUNC) has found its footing once more. On the other hand, Terra (LUNA) trades in a negative pattern and does not exhibit any signals of a positive reversal.
Sept. 23, 5:30 UTC update: "When the opt-in accounts achieve a holding of 25% of the total LUNC held on Binance, we start to charge 1.2% tax for all opt-in traders when they trade LUNC," reads the blog post from Binance, which reveals the existence of an opt-in button for users to pay a 1.2% tax for trading LUNC.
23 Sep update at 1 PM UTC: The CEO of Binance, Changpeng Zhao, said that consumers might "build a tool to enable people opt-in for a 1.2% trading charge themselves for burn" as an alternative to the 1.2% tax burn. Check to see how many members of the voting population do it first. According to Zhao, users should be allowed to vote with their fees.
A 1.2% tax burn has been effectively applied by LUNA Classic (LUNC) across all network transactions. On September 21, the new mechanism was implemented at the block height of 9,475,200, following a contentious public vote. Since there are currently 6.9 trillion LUNC in circulation, the tax burn won't stop until there are 10 billion.
Stablecoin UST and cryptocurrency LUNA from Terraform Labs crashed in May when LUNA's price fell by more than 99.99% due to a death spiral.
Do Kwon, the creator of Terraform Labs, has since made an effort to start the ecosystem's resurrection with Terra 2.0. He has not admitted any fault in the aforementioned collision.
Authorities in South Korea filed an arrest order for Do Kwon last week, alleging that he was evading capture. Even though Do Kwon has refuted these allegations, he hasn't yet indicated where he is.
Prosecutors in South Korea have denied these assertions, claiming that Do Kwon is not working with the law enforcement officers and does not intend to show up for questioning. They have therefore requested that his passport be revoked from the foreign ministry.
Since climbing to a peak of $0.00059 on September 8, LUNC has been declining. The 4.2–4.618 extension of the initial upward movement (red) and the 1.61 duration of waves one and three combined to form a key Fib level that served as the high (white). It was anticipated that it would function as a significant local top.
Since September 9, LUNA has also fallen significantly, plunging by 66% so far. It is not, however, exhibiting any bullish indicators like LUNC is. Contrarily, the price has made successive lower highs, a sign of weakness that encourages the downward movement to continue.
