To address the congestion issues faced by Bitcoin, Binance had previously revealed plans on May 7 to incorporate the Lightning Network as a means to alleviate bottlenecks. The exchange mentioned its ongoing efforts to enable Bitcoin Lightning Network withdrawals, recognizing the p potential of this solution in alleviating The situation. The congestion mainly stemmed from the increased number of BRC-20 transactions, with the rising popularity of memecoins contributing to the problem.
