Binance, the cryptocurrency exchange, is hosting an art competition where the winning design will be featured on the helmet of Alpine Formula 1 team driver Pierre Gasly during the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on November 26, 2023.
This competition allows participants to submit helmet designs, and it's not limited to Binance users; even non-crypto Formula 1 enthusiasts can take part. The deadline for design submissions is September 8, with the winner set to be announced on September 15 .Binance is looking for designs that capture its values and innovative spirit while appealing to the motorsports community.
Pierre Gasly, who won the 2020 Italian Grand Prix, expressed excitement about the partnership with Binance, emphasizing that it's an opportunity to engage creatively with both the F1 and cryptocurrency communities. The chosen design will also receive a replica helmet autograph ed by Gasly.
In addition to this competition, Binance has been actively partnering with influential figures like football legend Cristiano Ronaldo and major football clubs to enhance fan engagement. They have also joined forces with renowned singer The Weeknd for a Web3-driven concert tour called "After Hours Til Dawn." As part of this collaboration, Australian fans will receive two non-fungible tokens (NFTs), providing unique ways to interact with The Weeknd. To support this initiative, Binance pledged a $2 million donation to The Weeknd's XO Humanitarian Fund. These Partnerships are seen as a strategy for Binance to maintain its relevance in the cryptocurrency investment community while navigating a challenging regulatory landscape.
