Williams Racing’s Formula 1 car will feature excerpts from the Bitcoin white paper thanks to a sponsorship deal with U.S. cryptocurrency exchange Kraken.
In a tweet on March 31, Kraken showed off its sea monster-shaped logo with words from the beginning of a 2008 document published by its creator Satoshi Nakamoto in 2008. The Kraken logo appears to include the entire summary and introduction, as well as the transaction and timestamp server portions of "Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System."
The cryptocurrency exchange announced on March 28 that it will be partnering with the Williams Racing F1 team as part of the sponsorship and Web3 deal. The arrangement marks the first time a cryptocurrency firm has sponsored one of the F1 teams since many similar deals collapsed amid the 2022 market crash.
Practice for the next Formula 1 race is currently underway at the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne, with the main race scheduled for April 2. Some 420,000 people will reportedly attend the four-day event in person by 2022.
