CoinMarketCap, the cryptocurrency data aggregator under Binance's umbrella, has unveiled a novel plugin for ChatGPT, an AI chatbot founded on large language models (LLM). This feature is available for users who have a ChatGPT Plus subscription, allowing them to effortlessly access it by activating the plugin. Users are not required to pay any additional fees beyond the $20 monthly subscription for ChatGPT Plus. The creators pointed out that the base ChatGPT had limited utility for cryptocurrency enthusiasts because its data was primarily restricted until September 2021. Even the recently expanded web browsing capabilities of ChatGPT had limitations in delivering real-time encrypted data.
With this integration, ChatGPT is now capable of responding to a variety of crypto-related queries, ranging from straightforward questions like "What is the relevance of Bitcoin and Ethereum in 2023?" to more complex inquiries such as "How do changes in token distribution models (ICO/IDO/Launchpad, etc.) correlate with observed price movements?" The inclusion of CoinMarketCap data within ChatGPT allows the chatbot to provide real-time information about listings, price fluctuations, the most recent blockchain statistics, and more. This tool is designed for both desktop and mobile use.
Artificial intelligence (AI) technology is gaining traction across various cryptocurrency exchanges. Bitget, a cryptocurrency exchange, introduced AI capabilities for its grid trading strategy in July, utilizing trading algorithms to automate trading operations for users. Gracy Chen, the managing director of Bitget, noted that AI tools are being used for multilingual translations and customer service. Moreover, Nasdaq recently obtained approval from the SEC for AI-based trading orders. Even Binance, the cryptocurrency exchange behind CoinMarketCap, has launched an AI-powered non-fungible token generator for verified users.
