Deloitte, a Big Four accounting firm that specializes in auditing, consulting, financial consulting, risk consulting, tax, and legal services, is actively looking for people with cryptocurrency expertise to join their team, according to an update on LinkedIn.
A LinkedIn search for US cryptocurrency job opportunities reveals that Deloitte currently has more than 300 open positions, nearly all of which were posted a week ago. However, similar searches for crypto-related job vacancies at three other “Big Four” accounting firms, namely Ernst & Young, KPMG, and PwC, returned no results. Deloitte has several cryptocurrency-related positions, such as blockchain and digital asset managers, with openings at 97 different locations across the United States. Other positions include Blockchain in and Cryptocurrency Tax Manager, and Blockchain and Cryptocurrency Tax Manager in NFT, offered at 18 US locations, with job openings at three US locations.
The role of a blockchain and digital asset manager lists responsibilities and includes providing various services such as financial statement audit, internal controls specific to blockchain and digital assets, audit preparation for blockchain and digital asset transactions, IPO prepare ation and SEC reporting services, SPAC transactions and accounting digital asset transaction advisory services. Applicants for the Tax Manager position will manage teams providing tax advisory and compliance services to a variety of clients, including those in the cryptocurrency and blockchain industries. Responsibilities include leading clients in legal entity structuring and analyzing tokens and transactions , among other things.
This is because Deloitte expressed its continued support and interest in Web3 and encryption. In late February, Deloitte announced a partnership with Vatom, a Web3 platform, to deliver immersive experiences across industries. This collaboration opens up a variety of opportunity ies for companies looking to use virtual reality to enhance culture, as well as brands aiming to increase community engagement. Circle reportedly hired Deloitte to audit its proof of reserves in January. To date, LinkedIn has received over 1,000 applications for various positions from multiple locations . There are several crossover positions on Deloitte's website, and it's unclear whether the positions Deloitte is seeking to fill have been previously advertised.
