The team comprises individuals with experience at appreciated organizations such as DeepMind, OpenAI, Google Research, Microsoft Research, Tesla, and the University of Toronto, who have contributed to significant advancements in the field of artificial intelligence (AI).
The xAI team is actively working on various projects, including past breakthroughs such as AlphaStar, AlphaCode, Inception, Minerva, GPT-3.5, and GPT-4. The company has plans to host a chat on Twitter Space on July 14 to engage with the community and share updates about their endeavors.
Musk himself is involved in the development of a competitor to ChatGPT called "TruthGPT." This new AI model aims to explore the mysteries of the universe. Musk has voiced concerns about a perceived "left-wing" bias in the AI industry, suggesting that ChatGPT has been trained by experts who programmed it to disseminate falsehoods. Through TruthGPT, Musk intends to counteract this alleged bias.
