During Meta's Connect 2022 keynote on Oct. 11, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said that its Teams video calling app will integrate with Meta's "Quest" and newly released "Quest Pro" VR headsets, allowing people to work in a similar Meet in the virtual space of the conference room. Additionally, Microsoft productivity apps, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint, will also be available in Meta's VR. Nadella added that future features will include linking Windows cloud computers to the Meta headset.
In addition, Microsoft Teams will also be cross-compatible with Meta’s VR space for business meetings, called Horizon Workrooms, a cross-device experience that Zuckerberg says will be “the foundation of the virtual office of the future.”
