Nvidia continues to advance the race to develop artificial intelligence (AI) tools and applications, as the company revealed plans to release more AI products.
On May 28 at Computex in Taiwan, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang unveiled a new AI supercomputer platform called the DGX GH200. Huang said the main purpose of the supercomputer is to help tech companies develop a successor to ChatGPT, the popular artificial intelligence ence chatbot.
Big tech companies such as Microsoft, Meta and Google's Alphabet are expected to be among the pioneer users of supercomputer equipment. Huang announced a new service for the video game industry called Nvidia ACE for Games. ACE will use AI to help give the game's background characters more personality.
Additionally, the company plans to partner with marketing and communications giant WPP to combine artificial intelligence and Metaverse technology to reduce advertising costs. Nvidia is planning a new networking scheme to speed up the flow of information in data centers. While Nvidia leads the way in producing powerful chips for AI applications, other companies are scrambling to join the AI frenzy.
Microsoft recently announced that it is developing its own chip capable of powering applications like ChatGPT. In China, developers are sanctioned by the United States, which bans the latest versions of Nvidia chips. However, local developers are currently trying to combine chips and se semiconductors to create their own AI development methods. As AI becomes more accessible and developers introduce new products, they are also in conversations with lawmakers around the world to ensure regulations that allow innovation.
In early May, executives from many major tech companies gathered at the White House with US Vice President Kamala Harris to discuss the dangers of artificial intelligence. Officials also spoke to companies, including Nvidia, about participating in public evaluations of AI system s.
