The Shiba Inu community is still eagerly awaiting the launch of Shibarium, a layer 2 technology. No official release date has been confirmed yet, though there have been some hints and speculation that the release date is set for Valentine's Day, February 14.
With its launch imminent, the SHIB Army now has an important decision to make. The official Shiba Inu Twitter account is currently asking the community to participate in a poll for a Metaverse project titled "SHIB: The Metaverse".
The slogan will be used in future marketing campaigns and will have some influence on the success of the project.
Three slogans required votes: "Unleash a New Tomorrow", "Unleash Your Dreams" and "Build with Others". As of press time, 11,505 community members have voted on the proposal, of which 46.1% voted for "Release a New Tomorrow" and 31.6% voted for "Release Your Dream". Meanwhile, the Shiba lead developer hinted at the launch of Shibarium yesterday, which will lay the groundwork for the Metaverse. Shytoshi Kusama changed his Twitter profile to "Situation Room".
The term describes a room in a government or agency building where those at the highest level discuss current urgent matters and make important decisions about how to proceed. The SHIB Army interpreted this to mean that Kusama is deciding whether to launch a beta version of Shibarium as soon as possible.
In a recent Telegram message, Kusama advised the SHIB community to "get the popcorn ready." Shiba Inu enthusiasts take this as another hint that Shibarium beta will be released soon. Previously, Yayoi Kusama tweeted that he was preparing to release the product in a "heart-shaped box", which led the SHIB army to think that the release date would be February 14th - Valentine's Day. The community is looking forward to the release as developers promise that the layer 2 solution will ensure faster and cheaper transactions as well as massive SHIB burns. According to the plan, a portion of transaction fees paid in BONE will be converted into SHIB and then sent to unusable wallets, or “burned.”
