TCG World, an online virtual community sandbox, has recently formed a collaboration with blockchain music label Chooky Records, aiming to integrate popular music from artists like O.T., Elesia Iimura, and Busta Rhymes into the virtual universe.
The inaugural project resulting from this partnership involves the official release of the animated "Chooky" music video by a renowned recording artist within the TCG World virtual universe. This marks a significant milestone as it represents the first appearance of the animated video in the Metaverse. TCG World, launched in 2021, offers a virtual environment where various assets, including virtual real estate and Web3 collectibles, can be traded as non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Notably, at its inception, TCG World was recognized as the first 4K VR low-poly game and the largest game on the BNB Smart Chain blockchain.
Chooky Records stands out as an unconventional record label that merges digital music with NFTs to create innovative, tokenized entertainment experiences. The label gained prominence in 2023 with the success of Nigerian artist O.T.'s track "Chooky" and the rising popularity of Australian/Japanese artist Elesia Iimura.
Busta Rhymes, a celebrated recording artist with a prolific career spanning multiple decades, has also joined forces with Chooky Records. Busta Rhymes, known for his contributions to hit songs such as A Tribe Called Quest's "Scenario," lent his voice and likeness to the "Chooky" project, earning recognition for the audio visualization and immersive experience within the TCG World virtual universe.
Despite being a newcomer to the independent music scene, Chooky Records has garnered acclaim for its innovative infrastructure, which provides artists with various benefits, including freedom from restrictive contracts, higher royalty rights, and access to top-tier marketing resources. The label's approach, outlined in the Chooky Records white paper, emphasizes empowering artists and fostering collaborations within the music industry.
