Tomorrow, Celestia, a blockchain network, is set to launch its mainnet, marking a significant milestone for the project. Alongside this launch, the network will introduce its native token, TIA, for trading on several exchanges. KuCoin and Bybit are scheduled to begin trading TIA against USDT starting at 10 a.m. ET, while Binance plans to list TIA for trading around 12 noon Eastern Time.
To celebrate this event and engage its community, the Celestia project is organizing a giveaway of 60 million TIA tokens. These tokens will be distributed to active users on Ethereum Layer 2, stakers on Cosmos Hub, and participants on Osmosis. The project is also extending this airdrop to cryptocurrency developers who have been actively contributing to the space. Notably, this airdrop is based on a snapshot taken on January 1, 2023.
At the time of the mainnet launch, the total supply of TIA tokens will be capped at 1 billion, with airdrops accounting for 6% of this total. The confirmation of the mainnet launch date, set for October 31st, is available on Celestia's GitHub repository.
The listing of TIA on prominent exchanges like Binance reflects the growing momentum and potential of the Celestia project, emphasizing the continued expansion and innovation within the cryptocurrency space.
