The Philippine Blockchain Week (PBW) stands as the premier blockchain conference in the Philippines, set to unfold from September 19 to 21, 2023. This event will take place at the opulent Marriott Grand Ballroom, nestled within the Newport World Resort in Manila, Philippines .
Originating in 2022, the inaugural Philippine Blockchain Week drew more than 500 international participants, all eager to glean insights from leading industry figures. Topics spanned the gamut from Web3 infrastructure to cryptocurrencies and beyond.
PBW Convener Donald Lim expressed, "Last year exceeded our expectations and demonstrated strong interest in blockchain education and collaboration. This year, we hope to go even bigger, showcase a more diverse use case, and inspire more Filipinos to engage in shaping the future of blockchain."
Throughout the week-long gathering, attendees can expect to engage with over 150 local and global experts. There will be panels and workshops diving into decentralized finance, enterprise blockchain integration, NFTs, artificial intelligence, content creation, metaverse development, cryptocurrency regulations, and other pivotal subjects. The focus will be on immersive, hands-on experiences with blockchain.
The event's crowning glory will be the Michael Cinco Metaverse Fashion Gala, a debut showcasing designer Michael Cinco's avant-garde digital fashion creations. An auction of iconic pieces will be part of the gala, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting WWF Philippines, the Global Spectrum Initiative, and the Global Retraining Movement.
Other notable events include the Venture Capital Pitch Competition, offering Filipino startups a stage to vie for funding and potential feature on CNN Philippines' popular show "The Final Pitch," hosted by John Aguilar. The Nexus Fan Fair, presented by Tier One Entertainment, will unite fans, gamers, streamers, cosplayers, and pop culture enthusiasts. It features celebrity esports competitions, artists, and performances. Lastly, the world's first decentralized A concert by K-pop idol group TripleS, with an invitation extended to P-pop group G22, promises to be a thrilling spectacle.
