Cash App and Zelle are both peer-to-peer (P2P) payment platforms that allow users to send and receive money to and from others. However, there are a few key differences between the two. Let's see, Cash App Vs Zelle.

Cash App and Zelle Comparison

Cash App is a mobile app that primarily allows for P2P payments, but it also lets users buy, sell, and buy bitcoin. The app also features a function called "Cash Boost" that enables users to get discounts at specific stores.

Zelle, on the other hand, is a P2P payment service that is integrated into the mobile banking apps of many US banks and credit unions, including Bank of America, Capital One, and Wells Fargo. This means that customers don't need to download any other apps in order to send and receive money with Zelle. But, unlike Cash App, which lets users buy Bitcoin or trade stocks, Zelle does not provide any other services.

Overall, both Cash App and Zelle are convenient ways to send and receive money, but Cash App offers more features than Zelle.

Fees

Both Cash App and Zelle charge fees for certain transactions. Cash App charges a fee of 3% for all credit card payments and 1.5% for instant deposits.

While sending money using your bank's app, Zelle doesn't charge any fees. Certain banks, however, might charge their own fees for utilizing Zelle.

Security

Both Cash App and Zelle are secure in terms of security. Both apps encrypt your personal data and demand identity verification before allowing you to transfer or receive money.

Ease of Use

Cash App is the clear winner in terms of user-friendliness. The app doesn't require you to have a bank account and was created with simplicity in mind. A debit card, an email address, and a phone number are all you need.

The situation with Zelle is a little more difficult. Despite being integrated into the apps of over 100 banks and credit unions, each one has its own process for sending and receiving money. This can make Zelle a bit confusing to use, especially if you' re not familiar with your bank's app.

However, Cash App does have an extra layer of security with its PIN code feature.
