Do you know who the creator of Bitcoins is? Yes, it is Satoshi Nakamoto. A meticulous and charitable developer, Satoshi Nakamoto still has a sizable amount of Bitcoin that has never been moved. So how much bitcoin does Satoshi have?
Satoshi Nakamoto, the person who invented Bitcoin, mined up to 1.1 million of them in the first seven months of its existence. This fortune, which is now worth more than $30 billion, is still in existence. The mysterious Satoshi has been attributed to a number of people, but no one has yet been identified with certainty.
The first individual to mine Bitcoin was the elusive Satoshi Nakamoto, at a time when the reward for each block mined was 50 BTC. Unlike today's Bitcoin miners, Satoshi kept all of the profits for himself rather than sharing them with hundreds of other mining pool participants. Bitcoin had virtually no worth at the time; as of right now, its price is in the middle of the five-figure dollar range.
It is estimated that Satoshi mined more than 1 million BTC between January and July 2009, making him the most active miner in Bitcoin history. According to recent studies, Satoshi was capable of mining even more Bitcoin but purposefully chose not to do so, limiting his hashrate to allow other miners a fair chance at blocks.
Although the precise number of Bitcoin Satoshi mined himself is unknown, work by renowned security and cryptocurrency researcher Sergio Demian Lerner may have produced the most accurate estimate to date.
That would make Satoshi Nakamoto the richest Bitcoin owner in terms of pure BTC holdings, with a net worth of almost $10 billion at the current price of Bitcoin.
Recent rumors that Satoshi may have shifted 50 BTC from a block from 2009 were disproved when it was discovered that these Bitcoin do not come inside the scope of the Patoshi Pattern. Instead, it appears that those Bitcoin were relocated by a different early adopter, who has been connected to a large number of additional blocks that were mined when Satoshi was active.
There is no solid evidence that Satoshi has moved any of the approximately $10 billion in Bitcoin he now holds, exhibiting incredible restraint and true beneficence. That is assuming, of course, that Satoshi still has access to the private keys containing these monies.
In any case, it is likely that Satoshi is unable to spend his Bitcoin or is unwilling to do so, possibly out of concern that doing so might lead to his eventual identification. If Satoshi's identity were ever made known to the general public, it would probably have a significant impact on Bitcoin.
