"Optimism" refers to a Layer 2 scaling solution for the Ethereum blockchain. OP crypto is their coin. If you do not know about it, you will learn about it today.

How Old Is OP Crypto?

In 2019, Jinglan Wang, Karl Floersch, and Kevin Ho established Optimism. As of June 2022, the company has secured $178.5 million in funding, as reported by Crunchbase. Optimism uses an approach called Optimistic Rollup, which enables most of the computation to occur off-chain. This helps alleviate the congestion and high transaction fees experienced on the Ethereum mainnet, making it more feasible for decentralized applications (DApps) and users to interact with the network.

By leveraging Optimism, developers can deploy their smart contracts and DApps to the Optimism network, taking advantage of its scaling benefits. Users can then perform transactions with lower fees and faster confirmation times while still enjoying the security of the E thereum mainnet through periodic "rollups" of transaction data.

Why Optimism Is Good?

Optimism is considered beneficial for several reasons:

1. Scalability : One of the main advantages of Optimism is its ability to enhance the scalability of the Ethereum blockchain. By using Optimistic Rollup technology, it reduces congestion on the Ethereum mainnet, allowing for a greater number of transactions to be processed more efficiently and at lower costs.

2. Lower Transaction Fees : As a result of increased scalability, transactions conducted on the Optimism network typically have significantly lower gas fees compared to the Ethereum mainnet. This makes it more cost-effective for users to interact with decentralized application s (DApps) and perform various transactions.

3. Faster Transaction Confirmation : Optimism's Layer 2 solution enables faster transaction confirmation times. Users experience reduced latency and quicker settlement of transactions, enhancing the overall user experience on decentralized platforms.

4. Eco-friendly : By reducing the computational load and gas consumption on the Ethereum mainnet, Optimism contributes to a more eco-friendly blockchain ecosystem. Lower energy consumption is an important consideration in the context of blockchain's environmental impact.

5. Interoperability with Ethereum: Optimism is Fully Composition with the Ethereum Blockchain, Alowing Developers to Easily Port their Existing Etherum-Base D Smart Contracts and DAPPS to the Optimism Network. This Composition Ensures a Seamless Transition for Developers and Users.

6. Decentralization and Security : While the majority of transaction computation occurs off-chain in Optimistic Rollups, the security of the Ethereum mainnet is still leveraged through periodic rollups of transaction data. This ensures a high level of decentralization and sec urity for the network.

7. Support for DeFi and NFTs : Optimism's scalability and lower fees are particularly beneficial for decentralized finance (DeFi) applications and non-fungible token (NFT) platforms. It enables a more user-friendly and cost-efficient experience for DeFi traders and NFT enthusiasts.

However, it's essential to recognize that no technology is without its challenges or trade-offs. While OP crypto offers significant benefits, it also has its limitations and may not be suitable for all use cases. If you would like to buy $OP, you can try at BitKan.

A blockchain network called Ethereum was established in 2015. Because it was the first blockchain to support smart contracts, the network is noteworthy. Ethereum can therefore serve as the foundation for decentralized apps. One well-known "Layer 2" scaling solution for Ethereum is the cryptocurrency project Optimistic token.

Despite the unfavorable conditions in the cryptocurrency market brought on by the failure of the FTX exchange, support for Optimism, a layer-2 scaling solution, is rising. The coin is currently slightly below $1.00 and runs into significant resistance at $1.40, the resistance however, it may rise as high as $2 with little further resistance.
