Can't figure out why MetaMask is giving you a failed transaction error? don't worry we got your back! In this article, we will walk you through "how to fix failed transaction in metamask."

Restart Your Device.

If MetaMask isn't working, restarting your machine is the first thing you should do before making changes to your system settings. Your computer can then reload its resources and fix any issues as a result.

Here's how Windows users can restart their computer:

- To open the Start Menu, press the Windows key on your keyboard.

- Access the Power Options tab next.

-To restart your computer, click Restart.

See the instructions below to restart it on a Mac:

- On your Mac, first access the Apple Menu.

- After that, choose Restart from the drop-down menu.

- Lastly, click Restart on the dialog box to confirm your action.

Go back to your browser afterwards to check if MetaMask is working.

Connect Your Wallet First.

According to the reports, MetaMask failed transactions typically happen when you make a straight purchase on a web3 site without first connecting your wallet. We advise linking your MetaMask wallet before making any purchases to avoid this problem.

Simply go to the site you want to make a transaction and connect your MetaMask wallet.

Re-Login Your MetaMask Wallet.

There may have been a temporary bug or platform glitch that caused an issue with your account. We advise that you log out of your current session in order to force the plugin to reload your account data in order to resolve this.

Here's what you need to do:

- First, open your web browser.

- After that, access the MetaMask plugin.

- Lastly, go to your Profile and click the Lock button.

Wait for 2-3 minutes before logging back into your MetaMask wallet.

Clear Your Browsing Data.

If you experience a transaction failure error on MetaMask when purchasing tokens on web3 sites, you may also try clearing your browsing history. Your plugins may not be working properly because some of your surfing data may have become corrupted.

Follow these instructions to erase your browsing history to fix this:

- Open the browser of your choice.

- After that, go to Settings and select the Privacy & Security option.

- Next, select Clear Browsing Data from the menu.

- Now switch the Time Range to All Time and take cookies and caches into account.

- To begin, click the Clear Data option.

Clear your browsing history, then return to MetaMask to see if the issue has been resolved.

Reinstall MetaMask.

If you still can't purchase tokens using your MetaMask wallet, we suggest reinstalling the browser plugin on your computer. This way, you can ensure that there are no corrupted installation files on your storage.

For Chrome users, see the steps below to remove MetaMask:

- On your browser, click on More Options and choose Settings.

- Now, access the Extensions tab on the side drawer.

- Finally, locate MetaMask and choose Remove.

On Firefox, follow the guide below to delete MetaMask:

- First, open Mozilla Firefox on your browser.

-After that, click on Menu and access tettings.

- Next, click on Extensions & Themes.

- Lastly, find MetaMask, click on More, and choose Remove.

Go back to MetaMask afterward to check if the problem is solved.

Contact MetaMask.

At this point, the last thing you can do is let the professionals handle the situation.

Go to MetaMask's support page and contact their team to report the issue you've been experiencing on the platform. To help their team, provide all the necessary details on your report, including the screenshot of the error.

That ends our guide on how to fix failed transaction in Metamask.
