In this article, you will learn how to transfer crypto in the Fantom wallet. The Fantom Wallet, fWallet, is the official Wallet of the Fantom Network. It has been created as a Progressive Web App, which means it is a web-based wallet that one can easily download as a desktop or smartphone application.

Users can use the Fantom wallet to perform several activities like send, receive, stake $FTM tokens, and access the Fantom DeFi ecosystem.

How to Transfer Crypto in the Fantom Wallet?

To transfer funds in your Fantom wallet, you need a receiving/public address. You can get your Wallet receiving address by clicking on the Receive option.

You can copy the address or the QR code and share it with your other users to receive the FTM token in your Wallet.

- Buy $FTM Tokens.

If you are not holding $FTM tokens, then you can get it via Binance. You can check this list to find all supporting platforms from where you can buy $FTM tokens.

As you can see from the below screenshot, we have some $FTM tokens in our Binance exchange account. We will transfer these tokens to our Fantom wallet for further activities.

- Send $FTM Token To Fantom Wallet

Now go to your Binance account and click on the Withdraw button against the $FTM token.

The withdraw page will appear. Enter the recipient address, network, and the amount of $FTM token you wish to transfer.

Important: The $FTM token is available in 3 different standards. Select the appropriate network while withdrawing the tokens.

Confirm the withdrawal process. Once the transaction is successful, you can see the $FTM tokens in your Fantom wallet.

- Send $FTM Tokens to Other Fantom Wallets

The Send option allows you to transfer your $FTM tokens to other Fantom wallet users.

You also need to select the blockchain network you wish to send, ie, Fantom, Ethereum, or Binance Chain.

Then, select the appropriate network. Now, enter the $FTM amount that you wish to send and the recipient's address. Confirm the process by providing your wallet password.

How to Add Fantom to MetaMask

Adding Fantom to MetaMask is simple. Once you download the MetaMask app — or the browser extension from the MetaMask website — you're just two easy steps from successfully adding Fantom to Metamask.

Step 1: Navigate to the Settings Tab

The step required to add Fantom to MetaMask involves navigating to your settings, which is only possible once you've opened your MetaMask wallet. Select the logo that's positioned near the top right corner of your MetaMask account. From here, you'll be presented with a drop-down menu. Click on the Settings tab.

Step 2: Add the Fantom Network to MetaMask

Once you reach the Settings area, the first thing to do is to select the Networks button. This menu will provide you with an extensive list of networks that your wallet is currently connected to. At the bottom of this list will be an Add Networks tab .Click on it.

In order to add Fantom to your MetaMask wallet, you must input some details associated with this network, including the name, Chain ID, RPC URL, Block Explorer URL, and symbol. The information that should be input is as follows:

-Network Name: Fantom

- New RPC URL: https://rpc.ftm.tools/

- Chain ID: 250

- Symbol: FTM

- Explorer: https://ftmscan.com/

Finally, select the network that's available toward the top area of your wallet. From here, choose the Fantom Opera button. You've now added Fantom to your MetaMask wallet, and can complete transactions with Fantom tokens!

Bottom Line

Keep in mind that Fantom tokens can only be added manually from the Fantom network to your MetaMask wallet. Along with performing transactions, you'll be able to interact with decentralized applications, manage your crypto holdings, and collect NFTs. This is about how to transfer crypto in the Fantom wallet.
