Trying to sell Reddit Moons used to be a long and complicated process. Here is the step-by-step process of how to sell Moons in 7 easy steps.
Step 1. Go To Celesti.Trade
Celesti makes it easy for buying or selling Moons (MOON). They claim to be 'the easiest and fastest way to buy and sell Reddit MOONs.' You don't even need to open an account to sell.
Step 2. Check The Pool Balances
The way that you sell Moons is by exchanging them for Stellar Lumens (XLM). To convert Moons, there has to be enough XLM available in the Pool Balance first. You can also buy Moons by exchanging XLM for MOON.
Step 3. Click 'Buy or Sell MOON'
The "Buy or Sell MOON" button takes you to a new page. It shows the current exchange rates for the buying or selling of one MOON for one XLM. Based on the current Pool Balances, the Maximum XLM and MOON token that can be exchanged is shown.
Step 4. Click 'Sell Moon'
You must need a Stellar Address. Celesti will send the Stellar Lumens to your address. Your Stellar address and memo should be entered. (You have to enter your address and a Stellar memo.) Your Moon return address must also be entered. In the case that the transaction is failed, Celesti will send you a refund to your Moon address.
On the Reddit mobile app, your Vault has your Moon crypto address. Click Your Avatar on the top left of the app, then click 'Vault.' After that, click the three dotted lines. Your username, which begins with the letter "u ," will appear after your avatar.
Your Moon token address will be shown under your username. It starts with 0x. Copy the Moon address and paste it into the Moon 'return address.' Then click "SELL MOON."
Step 5. Get The XLM Address
Now is the time to send your Moons to Celesti. Don't forget to send L2 moons (not xmoons). If you are unsure about the difference between L1 and L2 moons, Celesti has provided a FAQ for further detail. By clicking the " Copy Address" button, you can copy the address.
Step 6. Send Moons To Celesti
To send your MOONS, go back to the Reddit App, and click the icon on the top right corner of the Reddit Vault. It will open the 'Send Points' screen.
- Paste the Celesti Moon address in the 'User or Ethereum address' field.
- Enter the number of Moons you want to send.
- Then, click 'Send Moons.'
A few transactional rules must be followed before sending your Moons. The point that you can only send the Maximum MOON that is listed is the most important.
The minimum MOON you can send is 1.
Additionally, you have one hour to complete the transaction. Otherwise, the session will timeout. In that case, you must restart the process before continuing with the transaction.
Step 7. Receive Your XLM
Celesti will transfer the XLM coins to your Stellar wallet once they have received your Moon coins. After receiving the Lumens, you can trade them for fiat currency or another cryptocurrency of your choice (dollars).
The whole process only takes 10-15 minutes.
