In this article, you will learn what are METIS RPC details. METIS is a Layer 2 scaling solution for the Ethereum network that uses sharding to improve transaction speed and reduce congestion. METIS is being developed by the team at Metis Labs, and is designed to be fully compatible with existing Ethereum applications.

What are METIS RPC Details?

RPC (Remote Procedure Call) is a protocol that allows communication between different software applications or components, in this case between a client application and a METIS node.

To access the METIS network and interact with its nodes using RPC, you need to have the following details:

RPC Endpoint: This is the URL or IP address of the METIS node that you want to connect to using RPC. For example, https://rpc.metis.io.

Network ID: This is a unique identifier that is used to distinguish the METIS network from other Ethereum-based networks. The METIS network ID is 888.

Chain ID: This is a unique identifier that is used to distinguish different chains within the same network. The METIS chain ID is also 888.

WebSocket Endpoint: This is an alternative protocol to RPC that allows for real-time communication with the METIS network. The WebSocket endpoint for the METIS network is wss://rpc.metis.io.

In order to add the METIS network to your MetaMask Wallet, you will need to add the verified RPC information.

Network Name: Metis Network

New RPC URL: https://andromeda.metis.io/?owner=1088

ChainID: 1088

Symbol: Metis

Block Explorer URL: https://andromeda-explorer.metis.io/

You can use these RPC details to interact with the METIS network and perform various actions, such as querying data, sending transactions, and deploying smart contracts.

What are the Benefits and Risks of Using METIS?

- Benefits and Risks of Using METIS

METIS offers a number of benefits over other scaling solutions, including:

Increased transaction speed: METIS can process transactions up to 1000x faster than Ethereum's base layer.

Reduced congestion: By sharding the network, METIS reduces congestion and makes it possible to process more transactions without increasing fees.

Compatibility: METIS is designed to be compatible with all existing Ethereum applications, making it easy to upgrade to the new network.

- Risks of Using METIS

METIS is still in development, and as with any new technology, there are always risks associated with its use. However, the team at Metis Labs is experienced and has a good track record, so we believe that they are capable of delivering a high- quality product.

Overall, we believe that METIS has the potential to be a very strong scaling solution for Ethereum, and we recommend keeping an eye on its development.

Bottom Line

With these details, you can securely access the network and make the most of their DeFi yields. Make sure to do your own research before using any blockchain-based services and read all of the warnings associated with them. This article is about what are METIS RPC details.
