Web 3.0 (Web3) is the third evolution of web technology. So what are Web 3.0 mobile application and what are Web 3 technologies. Let’s find out by reading the article below.

What are Web 3.0 mobile applications?

Web3 mobile applications are built on decentralization, openness, and enhanced user utility. The first web, Web 1.0, emerges and uses static web pages. This means that the scope of user interaction is limited and no advanced algorithms are used to improve user experience.

When creating a Web3 application, the front-end elements can be the same as a Web2 mobile application. However, the situation is quite different when we look at the backend of the application.

If we compare the backend part of Web2 and Web3 applications, blockchain nodes are the main elements in Web3 applications. It manages data scattered across a decentralized network of blockchain nodes. We rely on off-chain file storage and a P2P network to keep data on-chain. For the highest level of security, it incorporates private key-based authentication to confirm the user's identity.

It is important to remember that this is only a preliminary illustration of the Web3 architecture. There may be many versions and highly complex applications in use. Web3 mobile applications, also known as dApps (decentralized applications), differ from Web 2.0 because they do not require centralized databases and servers to facilitate interaction with users. In Web 3.0, everyone participating in the network jointly maintains the decentralized state machine and has full ownership.

What are Web3 technologies?

Web3 has become an all-encompassing term for a vision of a new and better internet. At its core, Web3 uses blockchain, cryptocurrencies, and NFTs to give power back to users in the form of ownership.

Web3 is decentralized: instead of a large swath of the internet controlled and owned by a centralized entity, ownership is distributed between its builders and users.

Web3 is permissionless: everyone has an equal opportunity to participate in Web3 and no one is left out.

Web3 has native payments: it uses cryptocurrencies to spend and send money online, rather than relying on outdated infrastructure of banks and payment processors.

Web3 is trustless: it operates using incentives and economic mechanisms rather than relying on trusted third parties.

I hope this article will help you to learn what are Web 3.0 mobile application and what are Web 3 technologies. The world is going to the internet where people have full control over their data and privacy while also allowing companies to leverage (or not) it. All of this will be possible through blockchain technology.
