Most of you might hear about RTFKT but still do not know what blockchain on it. Today we will talk about what blockchain is RTFKT and what crypto is NIKE using. Let’s find out by reading the article below.

What Blockchain is RTFKT?

RTFKT (pronounced "ARTIFACT") is the world's first AR e-commerce sneaker brand, combining the obsession of sneaker collecting with design and distribution inspired by video game drop skins. RTFKT is a new hypercraft luxury fashion label inspired by two of the most popular consumer trends - street fashion and video games. All RTFKT items will have augmented reality digital twins on the WAX Blockchain.

The team behind RTFKT are fashion leaders in design, esports and luxury brands. RTFKT Head of Design Chris Le has created iconic video game skins in mega-hit titles like CS:GO and Fortnite. He designed showcase sneakers for top esports team Fnatic and is known for many other creative projects. Zaptio is one of the world's top custom sneaker designers, having created one-of-a-kind shoes for Mortal Kombat II and Foot Locker. The rest of the RTFKT team brings deep esports, e-commerce and video game experience.

What crypto is Nike using?

Nike's interest in blockchain goes beyond acquiring a digital collectibles startup. The apparel maker launched ".Swoosh," a blockchain-based platform that lets members collect and eventually create virtual jerseys, shoes and other merchandise that they can wear in games and other online spaces. The announcement follows its acquisition of NFT and digital clothing startup RTFKT in 2021 as part of an effort to expand its presence in the Web3 fashion industry.

The Swoosh platform is positioned as the focus of Nike's Web3-related activities, mainly showcasing its NFT and virtual apparel product lines. The company is expected to launch a line of virtual clothing, such as T-shirts and sneakers, for avatars used in Web3 games.

Additionally, it will give consumers access to special physical apparel products and the opportunity to chat with professional athletes.

I hope this article will help you to learn what blockchain is RTFKT and what crypto is NIKE using. RTFKT and Nike will release the Cryptokicks iRL in four colorways: Blackout, Ice, Stone and Space Matter. The sneaker will be limited to 19,000 pieces, with a colorway breakdown to be chosen by collectors. They will be sold as digital collectibles (NFTs) in exchange for physical counterparts in a process RTFKT calls forging.
