With the help of MetaMask, you can access the dispersed web of the future right now in your browser. Without running a full Ethereum node, it enables you to operate Ethereum dApps directly in your browser. Today, we will answer “what does token of precision mean on Metamask?".

What Does Token Of Precision Mean On Metamask?

The least divisible measure is token precision. Precision 0 indicates that 1 is the smallest divisible number. Precision 2 indicates that 0.01 is the smallest divisible number. The highest possible precision number is 18.

How Do You Get Token Precision?

MetaMask is a bank, but its main advantage is that it works well with dApps.

The Ethereum Wallet that comes with your Chrome browser is incredibly simple to use. incredibly simple to set up, export private key, transfer ethers, view your account on etherscan, and even access the ERC20 tokens you purchased from an ICO, for instance.

In this tutorial, we'll walk you through each stage of adding a unique token to MetaMask.

Visit the MetaMask website and get the Chrome application there. The tiny MetaMask icon will show up in your browser after the download is complete and the extension is loaded.

The extension will open when you click the icon and ask you to approve the privacy notice.

You need to scroll down and accept the terms of use in the following stage.

You will be prompted by MetaMask to generate a new password.

It is made into a crypt. You will see a sentence with 12 letters that you must type in order to get your MetaMask account back. Write it down on paper or save it as a file are your two choices. It's best, in my opinion , to type it out on paper and store it securely.

You can manually add tokens if yours isn't immediately listed. Click "Add Token" after choosing your tokens.

Token Contract Address, Token Symbol, and Decimals of Precision must be entered.

Let's take the example of adding an EOS coin to your account. To view tokens, go to the website EtherScan.io, click on the »Tokens« tab on the right side. All the information is available by clicking on the EOS coin.

Click "Add Token" after entering the Token Contract Address, Token Symbol, and Decimals of Precision.

You can view your account's amount after adding your token of desire. You can add any ERC20 currency using this technique. What does token of precision mean on Metamask? We have shown you earlier here.
