Satoshi Nakamoko is the founder of Bitcoin. But no one knows who that person or people really are. So, what happened to Satoshi Nakamoto of Bitcoin?
Avalanche-based token sales will be used to raise money for "I Am Not Satoshi," a documentary that examines the dispute and quest for the identity of the person who invented Bitcoin. A token sale will be used to raise money for a new movie about the anonymous person who created Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto.
Republic's investment marketplace will host the "I Am Not Satoshi" sale, which will accept tokens based on Avalanche.
Who is Satoshi Nakamoto, the fictitious inventor of the first and largest cryptocurrency, more than 13 years after Bitcoin debuted? Many people throughout the years have attempted and failed to finally determine this, but a documentarian intends to investigate the topic once more in a new movie that will be crowdfunded through Republic using Avalanche-based tokens.
I Am Not Satoshi is a feature-length documentary that attempts to give a comprehensive look at the quest. White Paper Films and filmmaker Chris Cannucciari stated today that they will launch a fundraising campaign to make the film. Director of the 2016 documentary "Banking on Bitcoin" is Cannucciari.
The crypto community's search of Satoshi, who fell silent shortly after the creation of Bitcoin and has not been seen or heard from in many years, will be highlighted in "I Am Not Satoshi." The movie will discuss some of the possibilities put up by the searchers regarding the person (or persons) hiding behind the alias, but it will also go over some of the arguments in favor of Satoshi's secrecy.
Cannucciari explained in an email to Decrypt that the movie's objective is not to "unmask" Satoshi Nakamoto, but rather to "build a composite of why Satoshi was created and how he was able to thrive in bitcoin while so many others failed."
The Film Finance Offering (FFO) framework created by Ava Labs will be used to finance the movie through the investing platform Republic. Ava Labs anticipates that several more filmmakers will use the platform to finance their own upcoming movies. Backers can buy Avalanche-based tokens to help make the movie.
Among the systems that have developed to use Web3 technology to aid filmmakers are Decentralized Pictures and FF3. A feature-length adaptation of Camila Russo's book "The Infinite Machine" was sponsored through NFT sales, while the upcoming documentary "Ethereum: The Infinite Garden" was crowdfunded through a token sale.
